Does anyone have any pictures of the under ground school while it was being built? I find this very interesting that the city chose to do this. It had to be expensive in its day. Most people traveling through town don't even know the history of the school.

I've never seen any pics of it under construction but have been in it many times. I worked out there for several years and most people outside the area dont know anything about the entire school being under ground...Just a guess, but since it was originally built as a fallout shelter, I bet the Feds kicked in some money for the construction. It's directly on the flight line into Carswell and it was a SAC base when the school was constructed.
