Haven't heard the quaint southern term "honky tonk" in a good long while. Nice to know there's a new pub in Dallas, which I might drop by if ever want to be in Dallas. Plenty of pubs right here in good ol' Cowtown.

You're right; somewhat of an oxymoron. It was the news reporter who termed it a "honky tonk." Methinks she was trying to be cute.
