Wow, check out this new 50 storey building for Denver. Wouldn't a building like this be a good replacement for the Landmark Tower???

That is cool indeed... I don't quite understand this trend though:
"The 752' tall structure will house a Four Seasons hotel - Denver's first - and 140 high-end condominium units. "
This whole mixed-use hotel/condo combo thing.. what's the logic behind mixing the two and not going full-on one way or another? Trump seems to do this too now with all his proposed 900 story bldgs..

I think it's a matter of someone deciding to build a hotel, and then saying "hey, we can make some more money if we throw a few floors worth of condos on the roof." It doesn't require more guests, probably doesn't take too much resources from the hotel, and come on...who wouldn't want to live in the 4 Seasons? It's a no brainer. I think this trend will continue.
