Website for the development:
http://www.cleburnestation.com/Mixed use (mixed use! master planned!, sorry I couldn't help it), phase 1 includes restaurants, a plaza, and a baseball stadium that they're calling multi-purpose with the idea that they'll attract a minor league team (they haven't yet). Later phases include retail pad sites both small and big box, apartments, and hotels. Voters will decide in November if the city will raise the sales tax rate to 8.25 to pay for their $25 million portion. There's not a developer on board yet. Renderings and site plans on the website.
I'm guessing this is all very much up in the air until November.
And to address earlier discussion, I don't know how anyone could think that Johnson County's demographics would be what IKEA is looking for. I get that it's a destination, but Frisco gets plenty of traffic from locals that they wouldn't have in Cleburne.
