I would like to bring to your attention an ongoing world wide event called the WWP. It occurs on the Solstice and Equinox or change of seasons. With the coming of Summer a 7 day period 16 - 21 June "WATER" was the theme of this event. So far 179 photographers photographed their part of the world. Their QTVR images will be available to see on 5 July 2005 when the completed site goes public.
I will tell you the URL when the site goes live on 5 July 2005
Have we been participating? Yes you bet, please visit our site at:

Here is what Don Baine (University of California at Berkeley) said just moments ago:
"Everyone,
The next World Wide Panorama event is beginning to take form. We now
have 500 people registered as participants (in this and previous
events), and 1115 panoramas on-line. Amazing!
So far we have 179 complete (or nearly completed) pages for this event.
I expect a rush of submissions at the end, so my guess is that we will
exceed the Marketplace total of 254. Remember that Saturday, July 2 is
your last chance to submit and edit. After that the preparation server
will be unavailable so that Landis, Markus, and I can clean up all the
loose ends.
A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes in redesigning the
site. We have been listening to the discussions on this list, and agree
with many of the points that have been made. We hope to have a home
page with less text and more obvious navigation, at the very least. It
is hard to predict how many of the ideas will be implemented in time
for this event - some may have to wait for September.
I have seen some really excellent panoramas on the new site. Please
remember that only participants are allowed to look at it now. The
final site (on a different server) will be available to everyone on
Tuesday, July 5.
Don"
