My first 2 attempts to post the system went down - sorry.

Re: Solar Eclipse Panorama - Ximjiang Province China August 1, 2008
PART 2 followup

A forum member in New Jersey apparantly had been talking with Bob.
"Bob had a 4x4 driver and there was security shadowing him. He was
asked to leave the area as soon as the event was over, maybe those
figures on the horizon. It takes a few hours to pack and unpack all
that stuff."

PART 1

Have you ever been to the Mongolian Desert to watch an eclipse?

Now you can almost "be there" !

In one of the forums I frequently visit I found a photographer that
is showing what its like to be out in the Mongolian Desert with all
his equipment taking a panorama image of the 2008 Solar Eclipse.

Part of any image is an appreciation for the photographers work
effort for that special moment.

This whole scene begs the question: WHERE IS THE LANDROVER truck
that hauled all that equipment so far out in the desert. Yes,
follow the telescope view angle to find the sun breaking over the small
cloud.

Be sure to click and drag the image and look all around.
Guess I had better go thank Bob Yen for his extreme panorama
imaging.

Enjoy the moment from China: http://360vrchina.co...e2008-totality/

Words may come later.
