I was in Austin Tuesday for a jobsite photo shoot off RM 2222 and drove by the new Apple Campus and saw another three or four monster cranes. Cant believe that site is 133acres / 3Million SQFT campus.I went through Austin, yesterday and the number of cranes up and working is out of this world. Maybe 60 are insight of I35.

Does anyone know what that new tall crane is for just south of downtown near the medical district? This is the one that has blue lights at night. I'm not talking about the crane at the new Texas Health Resources tower construction site.

Arlington, has one crane up on 30 and Center. It looks like work has stopped or slowed down. Two Cinder blocks towers are up with a foundation in place.
I drove by this project 2 weeks ago and it still looks to be idle. No equipment on the site, overgrown with weeds, the fence is falling down. There's a foundation, some columns, and concrete elevator and stairwell cores up (they aren't cinder) and the crane is still there. This was an office project, right?

I completely forgot about that. I can see why it's going to be 9 stories. The foundation that's there is pretty compact.

There is a working crane at UTA. They are adding another science building.
The River District had the one crane working last week.
Cooks crane is stand tall.
Six up and three working.

Not sure when it was taken down, but the Crystal Springs crane is gone. It appears to have only been needed for the parking garages, which are now done.
The current count inside the loop is just 1 I believe, for Cook's Dodson expansion.

Do you recall what date they took down Harris Surgical tower's crane? Last time I was onsite was early April.

So others that are potentially in the works would be the Crescent development at museum place, possibly Bowie House if it ever breaks ground, and Triune Center on I-30.
Are there any others I am missing?

Been a minute since this was updated. The CCMC Dodson crane came down today, but the garage one remains. However, the Broadway Apartments have one up so no change to Near Southside's total.
1 at Cooks
1 at Broadway
1 at Deco 969
1 at Bowie House
2 at The Tradition
3 at Museum Place
9 total

Huguley Hospital has one up.
They must be kicking off the expansion. I've heard some jokingly refer to Huguley as "Huge Ugly." For years I had it in my mind that was the hospital that amputated some guy's wrong leg. Ask your surgeon to take a Sharpie and write "This One!" before putting you under.
Speaking of tower cranes, I drive by that dead Drury Inn jobsite at Center and I-30 in Arlington a lot and it is getting annoying to look at the lack of activity and the tower crane just sitting there. Pretty strange the city doesn't do something about it.

I noticed earlier this month that there's a tower crane up at Southlake Town Square for a multi-story office building adjacent to the fire and police complex.

Also write "Not This One!" on the other leg. Just in case.

Baylor's is up, but Willow & Wises' is down. For a few days they were both up, so we had five for a bit but back to four again.

This isn't Fort Worth and it's pretty random. I had to make a trip to Killeen today and noticed a tower crane several miles east of 35 just north of Hillsboro. I can't imagine what in the world it's for.
Buc-ees? Maybe its easier for setting underground tanks and framing the structure? Seems like a long shot though.
