Pelli Clarke Pelli is absolutly my favorite skyscraper architect around currently. This project has had a lot of hype to it, Frost's Austin tower was an instant landmark, and they have expressed interest in making the San Antonio tower follow those footsteps. There is speculation that it could end up being the cities tallest, as well. PCP have designed several other buildings which are the tallest in their respective cities,

Excited to see what the design will be!

Crescent topped out this week I believe. It's also fantastic, probably the best tower in Uptown so far.

it's quite a nice building, but for having such strong vertical lines, it's a bit short at only 400 feet.

Another Frost Tower that's shorter than it should be...

But it is San Antonio, after all.

Yeh Austin's is way to short for how nice it looks, same with SA's. The design of the Fort Worth tower is a nice fit for the height. Dallas's is pretty nice to. Both the D and FW towers are more boring the San Antonio & Austin's from a design view, the ones here don't leave you feeling like they're missing a few hundred feet.

IMO, the tower does not fit well within the downtown SA city scape.

San Antonio's downtown has an old-style look; and this glass skinned tower, with its jagged crest,  jars that look for me.  Might have been better had the tower absorbed the styles of surrounding structures to create more continuity.

If the goal was to make a statement, then the tower is 200' too short because being higher would project more against the sky than it will project towards its surroundings.
