At the risk of sounding insensitive: hahaha get wrecked NIMBYs!  B)

Maybe things really ARE starting to change...

I think they are as more of our city leaders have new views of living in the inner city instead of wanting to escape from them

I went to high school with two of them... they see what I've grown up seeing.

I don't have enough context to understand this! Do you mean that those two want to encourage living in the inner city, or the opposite?

They grew up in the urban sprawl like Jeriat and they know how much it can suck.

Glad to see this pass. The Montgomery building is such an impressive structure. For it to be surrounded by parking is such a waste.

That, and they understand what the "non suburban folks" want/need.

I'm wondering what the status of the multifamily is now. I notice there is a Rally House shown on the southern end cap space on the east side retail. It would be odd to lease that out if there were plans to demo the building soon.

I would say that the plans have been scrapped or maybe just put on a shelf until interest rates become more manageable.
