I've added a new feature to the web site. It is an interactive construction map for the county. You can find the map at http://www.fortworth...tructionmap.htm and you can be an editor of it at http://www.communitywalk.com. On their site, you have to set up an account, but once you do, then you can edit the map at: http://www.communitywalk.com/map/18253. I hope everyone enjoys participating in this. Due to my busy schedule, I'm also looking to the forum members on keeping this map updated.

Bruce, you are welcome, and I thank you for your comments. I hope everyone will contribute to the map. You can also add photographs and build descriptions of the projects.

Jonny, thanks for putting the locations on the map. I intentionally did not put everything on it. I wanted the forum members to be able to participate. Rembember, this is your construction map, so the upkeep on it is also your responsibility. When a project is completed, please remove it from the map.

Yesterday, I looked at the construction map, and I wanted to say "Thank You" to all of you who have contributed. I really appreciate the efforts here to have an up-to-date interactive map of the construction projects. Let's keep up the efforts to make the map an accurate reflection on the projects in Fort Worth and Tarrant County.

I'm sorry that I didn't jump on this earlier, but our office is in the process of moving. We dismantled the old place yesterday, and I worked from 7 until 7 doing manual labor. This is something I don't do on a regular basis. Today, the movers are coming and then we will put everything back together today, and probably some over the weekend. Last night, all I wanted to do after work was eat, clean up, the go to sleep.

Back on topic, I'm really pleased to see Sundance Square construct buildings on these open parking lots.

Ok so this hasn't been discussed in a while.

As some of you may have seen, Google Maps has a similiar feature right now, I played around with it earlier and out some things in.

http://goo.gl/maps/sWPq9

I'd be willing to edit and up to date a few things, but I can't help but wonder if the new style of map may be better?

Austin, I added a couple of things to your map - the TRV bypass channel and the three bridges (WS, Henderson, and Main St.)   I also added the new Museum Place development that's nearly finished.

Fantastic. I struggled about what to do with the TRV since it's kind of difficult to represent such a complex project with such a simple program.

I'm working on adding at least a link to the Forum on everything.

Everyone else-Feel free to check things out and add them!

I messed around with a google map a couple of years ago that documented trinity trail construction. Didn't really keep up with it as there didn't seem to be much interest, but no reason it couldn't be added to this map too.

I believe you can import other maps. Dallas Metroplis has been using this style of maps for a while and you can combine the two.

I've made a large upgrade to the map, its a new style of of google maps that makes everything a bit easier. It still needs some work, but I've attempted to add a short description, a couple of renderings, and a link to the discussion thread for several projects. Currently I have it set so that only I can edit it,but I'm looking for a way that certain people can. On the left side you can also change the base map if you don't like the satellite view.

Check it out and let me know what you think!

The one thing I know of that's missing from this map is the outdoor Outlet Mall in the Alliance area. (There's also a PDF on that page that I just saw for the first time)

Other than that, it looks good. Just hope to add far more in the near future.

By the way, the rumor that I heard on Friday was that the new owners [Hilton Hotel Annex] were seriously looking at converting the upper floors to apartments.

It appears things are starting to happen with the rumored renovations of the historic Sinclair Building.

 February 1- 7, 2015 ---Awesome week!

Oh... Is that a tease? You know something we don't?

It seems there has occasionally been weeks that are more memorable. In 2013 we had the Piano, Plaza, and 7th street bridge all on one week. Last year we had several southside projects come out all at once, 924 summit and some others. This was also the week RadioShack dominated much of the news. And some of that silly Dreamvison stuff.

There is a residential development underway on the Trinity River out on White Settlement. Just south of the "Crystal Springs" development. You can see the cleared area in the satellite view.

General overview of projects going up downtown. I don't think there's much new information here other than maybe the name of the apartment project next to Pier 1.

I have it on the list, but without a photo (either a rendering or photo of the site) it won't appear. It should be on the list soon! Let me know if anything else is missing that you notice. I've left on many small things, only due to how hard it'd be to keep up with everything.

The update we've all been waiting for.

Thank you!

It's there! Under the proposed tab, but I'll move it soon once ground is broken.
