I believe they have a sports medicine practice at that location. Perhaps its a way to also supplement revenue by renting while preserving their land, which could be developed at a future date for a larger hospital/clinic. Im just speculating.

It could also be related to the plans for a large new youth soccer complex. Walsh is one of the sites often mentioned. https://fortworthrep...o-pay-for-them/

I noticed a UDC filing for Cook Children's rebrand:

https://accela.fortw...ShowInspection=

Project Description:
Signs - Cook Children's rebrand
Install new signage with Cook Children's new logo/brand at 7 locations: 1108 S Henderson St 321 S Henderson St 1101 W Vickery Blvd 1401 W Pulaski St 1719 8th Ave 1729 8th Ave 1263 W Rosedale St

I'm guessing this is the new logo?  They really like that blue roof thing don't they?  Always get a little chuckle when a big time PR Marketing firm is hired and they essentially just use a cleaner sans serif font and say 'here ya go' then charge millions of dollars for their consultancy.  I guess this new font is almost san serif, not quite 100% though.

New Logo:

Old logo:

The first one is the new logo.  Yes, the font changed, but there are a few more differences.  The blue roof triangles are much more stylized with the lighter blue line and darker blue dots on top. The green text is completely eliminated.

Surely that isn't $34 million of work?

Hey, if they get rid of the hideous lavender with green accent throughout the interior, $34M is money well-spent.
