Dylan, I believe your statement describes the work done in 2010. However, I really liked the park better when I was a kid. That was when the park had a Baroque design with the fish pond/fountain on the west end. Back in those days, Burnett Street separated the park from the Medical Arts Building.

On another thread a while back, you posted pictures of how the park looked in the 60s/70s. That version on Burnett Park was much nicer than the current version.

That said, I'd rather see a grass-oriented design like Discovery Green or Klyde Warren replace the current design (as opposed to reverting to the old design).

I remember too.  The Annual Fort Worth Christmas Tree was stood there; and the park always felt open to the public.  Today, I imagine few people other than the office workers nearby ever give the park a second thought.

I would hope that someday the park is once again integrated into the public sphere.

Not to divert attention from the just caused of civil unrest stemming from the killing of Mr. George Floyd, I noticed one thing that has become true about Fort Worth: The Iconic "No-name" bridge that crosses the Clearfork connecting the C/Ex Dictrict and Downtown as a place to gather. And because Fort Worth does not have a public space to gather in, civil disobedience and protestation was held on this bridge by Fort Worth citizens.

I think the bridge must be added to the other iconic symbol of Fort Worth-  Stockyard Arch/Gate.  I believe that both the bridge and the arch serve and hold an important place in events that touch the people of Fort Worth.

It already is.  Whenever you see national coverage of Fort Worth, the bridge is featured.  For instance, when the Cowboys or TCU are on national TV you almost always see the bridge during the commercial interludes.

The one problem with it is that I'm almost positive that the people who are watching the broadcast probably think the bridge is in Dallas

Actually, people are not as clueless as that; it is just that the bridge needs to show up as frequently as the Green Thing, which is always visually referenced whenever something about the region broadcast.

I think the bridge has now become a point of pride in Fort Worth and rallying or marching across it is symbolic.

There are some images on the bridge from this past weekend that you could call "iconic" in the future... can't post them here, but they're out there.
