Not sure where else to put it, but there's a report in the Star-Telegram that Emma and Travis Heim are buying Soda Springs BBQ on Clifford Road just west of Lockheed.  Soda Springs has long been a favorite of mine and a popular stop for Lockheed employees, although it seems to have tailed off in recent years (they used to be jam-packed at lunch time; now, not so much).

The report says Soda Springs will stay open under current management for two more weeks if the deal goes through.

Not to be downer--but going from trailer to brick and mortar buildings X 3 is risky in such a short period of time.  Of course, its primary investors are the Churchill's so grow baby grow it appears are their paths..

I assumed they were backed by deep, patient pockets. The 3 locations seem to be separated enough to do well on their own.

Yes, they are agents and beneficiaries of Kentrification.

Sounds like the third location is going to be primarily a catering kitchen.

They also recently announced that they have a mobile catering truck available for events: "Meat Force One."
