Sounds super cost effective.

Comparing this construction with that of the beautiful and innovative W7th arch bridge is instructive.

Part of Main Street to close, for next 3 years, as work revs up on Panther Island bridges.

N Main from about north side drive down to the site of Panther Island Brewery is torn up. I'm glad to see it being repaired but when did this happen?

I guess so, I had no idea. Is the bridge supposed to span that far?

The road closure and detour is much farther than the bridge will be. They had to make it that way to have enough room to complete the detour onto commerce.

The bridge most likely be between 8th & 9th streets.

House passes 2018 Spending Bill.
Senate will want to negotiate certain parts before passing.
The House Bill Includes $1.16 billion MORE for the Corps of Engineers (Water Infrastructure) than Trump requested.

Army Corps of Engineers The Army Corps of Engineers is funded at $6.16 billion, an increase of $120 million above the fiscal year 2017 enacted level and $1.16 billion above the Presidents budget request. The bill focuses funding on activities that will have an immediate impact on public safety, job creation, and economic growth, including those that help increase the functionality of our ports and waterways. For example, the bill provides:

$2.8 billion for navigation projects and studies, including $1.34 billion in funding from the Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund and full use of estimated annual revenues from the Inland Waterways Trust Fund, to help advance American competitiveness and export ability; and

$1.8 billion to support public health and safety by funding flood and storm damage reduction activities, an increase of $74 million above fiscal year 2017 and $424 million above the budget request.

Does this mean that TRV is now, all but a reality?  If so, P.I. will be even more attractive to Amazon with infrastructure funding allocated.

Nice. Hope Jeff Bezos can take a look at it and all of the area in person.

I wonder if it is too late to change the design of those supports so they look more like an  "A" and less like a "V"?

Just to have a clear understanding of TRV, how is this organization classified?

I thought otherwise and that thought adds another angle to the Amazon sweepstakes.

I couldn't find anything online to back this up, but I believe TRVA, TRWD, the city, and the corps of engineers are public and Streams and Valleys is a private non-profit. I believe TRVA is a tax payer funded arm of TRWD in place to carry out the TRV project.
