The City of Fort Worth is updating its Master Thoroughfare Plan (MTP) and now is the time to weigh in with your thoughts and concerns and to get your questions answered.

 

Make plans now to attend any of the following public meetings:

A draft has been released. Did a quick skim, nothing to exciting but lots of information. Good to see that the city wants to put pedestrians and cyclists are being focused on.

Take a look the approximately 0.7-mile section of Grandbury road that runs northeast along the railroad tracks from the end of University just south of Bluebonnet Circle up to the always-confusing intersection with Cleburne Road and Benbrook (Drive and Boulevard).  

 

They've got it labeled purple for "Commerce/Mixed Use", the same as most of downtown, the Near Southside, the West 7th area and Panther Island.

Transit Oriented Development. There's a commuter rail station at Berry and Cleburne for the planned southwest extension of Tex Rail. Not that any of us will be alive to see that.
