Bravo to John Roberts for being singled out by Fort Worth Weekly as the best preserver of history. We've all known that for some time, but it's nice to see the website and John's countless hours of his time to shepherd it recognized by the wider world.

I'm honored. However, I can't find a link to the award on the Weekly's website.

I guess the link isn't up and working yet. I picked up a hard copy this morning.

I ran down to Buffalo West, one block from my office, and I found a hard copy there. I have now read the award, and thank you for letting me know about it.

A long overdue recognition in my opinion. Folks hardly realize how much effort John actually does put into this forum, his continuing efforts in the cause of Historic Preservation, as well as all of the other interests and activities he's involved with. He and I have corresponded extensively behind the scenes about the endangered Garvey House on Samuels Avenue and none of that dialog has appeared on the forum pages but it still took away from his time. It's great caring people like John Roberts who make Fort Worth the unique city that it is. Heck, I'd nominate him for the Nobel Prize if I could but in the meantime I thank him sincerely for all that he does here.
