Here's a little different view. During the Downtown Walking Tour on Saturday, we had a chance to get up to the Petroleum Club on the 40th Floor of 777 Main. Here's the view looking west along 7th Street.
Here's the view looking south and southeast toward the Convention Center, Water Gardens, and the new Omni Hotel.

What's missing from the second photo is the multistory secure parking across Jones Street from the Intermodal Transportation Center, so that when that airport connection finally becomes available, we can actually use it.

Aw man! I have been in Lubbock so I couldn't attend. I've been wanting to go up there for quite a while. Maybe a future tour will go up. Did you have a chance to go onto the north facing balcony?

Unfortunately, I did not. They only let us in the lobby. It is small and cramped.

Anyone get a good close-up of the Goodyear Blimp hovering around ESPN's Sundance Square broadcast this past weekend? I took a couple of photos from our back yard on Samuels Avenue but I only used my camera's zoom rather that a telephoto lens so the images are fairly small.

I was out last night with one of my daughters, and we stopped by the Modern. The sunset was really nice. I really like how the color balances between the sunset on the right and the interior lighting on the left. Such a cool building.

I wish the Citizen Theater folks would just set up in this building. It would be awesome and it would drag the Fairmount vibe in new directions.

A friend of mine showed me a new location for a skyline shot. It's taken from the north and it sits above the Auto Pound. Here's the overall view showing the full stretch of the skyline, including the Upper West Side. Unfortunately, I was not there at the proper time of day to take a photo from this angle.
Below is a zoomed in view of the main part of the CBD.
