I just wanted to let everyone know that the website and forum were hacked again yesterday. I was able to get things back up and running by around Midnight last night. I'm hoping that all of the viruses have been removed from the site, but I can't promise. Over the next few days, I will be replacing all of the website files to make sure there aren't any further problems. We are fortunate that things were only down for less than 24 hours. Also, the forum was upgraded to the latest version after the hacking.

You're welcome. I'm just very surprised that I was able to get the site back up so quickly.

John, thank you for putting together such a fine site and forum and dealing with all the crap like hackers and viruses that come with it.

Thanks John. This is a great site and we all appreciate your efforts to keep it going. It is one of the most user friendly sites and most interesting to all that are interested in Fort Worth history, etc.

biggrin.gif All Hail John!
Many thanks for this site; and that's not adequate for the enjoyment we get from this site and this forum.

We were lucky not much damage was done. That's why it didn't take very long to get it back up.

I don't know if anyone picked up on it, but back in April, I added an RSS feed from the site.

On behalf of the forum's administrators I would like to apologize for the most recent outage. The problems came at a particularly bad time for our over-committed admins and the resulting outage was uncomfortably long. I hope you haven't all wandered off too far.

Based on what I saw while working through this, I can't promise we have everything resolved. Should you experience problems again, please feel free to email me. (My gmail account name is the same as my user name here.)

Thanks and get some sleep...
Donnie

Well, thanks, and Hail to thee all admins! I check this site daily and I was getting alarmed and depressed. What sad little peabrain would want to mess with this site? To what possible advantage? huh.gif

I agree with Birdland, thanks for getting things running again. I am stumped as to why anyone would want to crash this board, there couldn't be anything in it for them, other than feeding a need for vandalism, stupid loser.

I concur with the others, I check the site a few times a day and thought that maybe I had been locked out. Thanks for this site.

Donnie, you don't know how much I appreciate your assistance. I'm sorry that I was out of town yesterday and that I couldn't assist. The web site was down for a little bit this week due to my host moving sites to different servers. For a while, I thought the outage was related to that. I've also been working with my host in notifying them of the hacks that have occurred.
