Actually if you look at the portfolio of the company, they seem amenable to keeping and leveraging the brand names of their acquisitions (and hopefully allow them to continue operating in a similar manner to what they did when they were independent companies). Perhaps the value is that by being under one umbrella they are able to reach a wider customer base than when they were independent (i.e., Dickies is now part of the package when a retailer wants to sell Wranglers).
S-T article mentions that the deal won't affect naming rights, so the arena under construction will still be named "Dickies Arena".
Hopefully not (see my previous comment).

You know, "Wranglers Arena" rolls off the tongue better. It gets rid of a *clears throat* unique nickname with Dickies, but I'd like Wranglers better.

VF Corp could choose from a number of its brands. For example "Timberland"
But I think that Dickies and Fort Worth is the correct choice. Imagine the fun synergy created by "Hooters @ Dickies"
