Great Pics!
ATOMIC you the BOMB! laugh.gif

I been inside that church a few times before. It's St. Mary's and the inside is awesome. Oh and the Fairmount Lofts, great shot, but those are to live in? Eh, I swear they look like you can use them for office space. Not homey at all. The Texana is super nice tho! I really dig them townhomes.

By the way, those are the sweetest looking rims I've seen on a BUG.

Awesome pics!!!! Magnolia still remains my favorite street in FW. It's good to see it start to live up to its potential.

Wonderful photo set! I drove around those parts the other day. It was really impressive to see the Mehl building coming along so well, and Texana really looks sharp. Another cool thing was the new speculative office building in Magnolia Green, it's another very classy looking structure. Anyway, Fort Worth South is doing so well, I hope we'll start hearing concrete stuff about the other "rumored" residential projects in the district soon. biggrin.gif

Jonny, I haven't posted it yet, but the other day, I took a rather nice photo of the Texana Townhomes. (John then proceeds to pat himself on the back.)

I was just at the Spiral D on Tuesday. GREAT eats. Had the humus wrap.

YUM! And good for ya. wink.gif

Speaking of FW South. Just got back in from SA. Noticed a big fire while driving along Hemphill, headin into DTFW. Blazin. So I went to check it out. Took the fighters about 15 minutes to show up and I had to point it out to a cop next to me on Hemphill that a fire was ablazin over there. Could smell it about 3 blocks away and see the embers flyin about. Old home on corner of W. Maddox and near an old community lookin church. Oh W. Maddox and Lipscomb. BTW, Greg Maddux had a win today, GO CUBS!

Old abandoned looking house, next door neighbors got some of it too. This is why we have CCode enforcers. biggrin.gif

Great job of them putting it out and minimizing further damage, especially to the nearby church. Bunch of CRAZY looking Company "B" swing dancin folks out there havin a blast watchin it become engulfed.

Ever hear a utility pole transformer go "POP!" ? Thought it was bullets goin off in the house.

Fairmont District SOUTH I believe. Nice neighborhood.

What building is this???
IPB Image

Was it a Masonic Lodge once? I noticed the Masonic Logo on both ends.

I'm not sure what it was. It's the tall building on the right in the shot looking down Magnolia from Spiral Diner. Here's another pic of it:

It's now Magnolia Centre, but it once was a Masonic Lodge.

Just imagine how cool it would be if Magnolia still had red brick pavement in these pictures!

That awning is really special and that building is beautiful. What are they using it for?

The building is used for office and meeting space. The old lodge room is a great location for meetings, conferences, and receptions.

I'm in love with it. I'm thinking when we go to church on Sunday we should take a field trip down Magnolia on the way back here.
