Looks like a perfect location for them, close to Harwood Harvard and of course 183.Bisnow DFW is reporting that In-N-Out has purchased a 1.2 acre site near the northeast corner of Precinct Line Road and the Airport Freeway in Hurst.

Our guys needed exactly 1 hour to get their lunch at In and Out. One guy said they regretted not getting lunch from the vending machine at the Shell station on the way.
I have a heart for any business. And I hope they do great. But I am doubtful that it will be full by Christmas and beyond.

I don't understand the draw - they must have one amazing PR department!

I don't eat burgers, or actually anything they sell (Maybe iced tea?), but we had 5 guys from my work go there on Tuesday. 3 of our Austin people and 2 locals. They were 0/5. They hated it. They have been talking it down ever since they left there. Most of the 5 say it was the worst burger they have ever eaten. One guy said, "It is only 5% as good as a Whataburger" as an example. Now these guys do a lot of eating out. And plenty of fine dining. But none are too good for a burger. In fact I am pretty sure our people from Austin have come to Fort Worth primarily to eat at Fuzzy's Taco. (They eat at the Race street location pretty much every day they are in town.) I looked on Fuzzy's Web site and see they now have a location near Austin. I now figure I will never see these guys again.

Unlike Brian, I consider myself to be one of the bigger burger fans of anyone I know, and I generally eat 3-4 on the average week. The thing about In N Out (I've been to this location just once so far) is that it's fine but it's just nothing special. If I waited an hour to get one my review would probably be tainted as well, and I do think it's unfair to put it in the same conversation with most fast food burgers. McDonalds, Jack in the Box, and others are really crappy and just not good. In N Out isn't crappy, so it's more in the league as Sonic and Whataburger. That all said, it's not even in the same ballpark as some of our local gourmet places like Love Shack, Magnolia Motor Lounge, Kincaids, Dutch's, etc. Anyone who goes in there with anything other than fast food expectations will leave disappointed.

Finally, they will always be full of business in December and beyond.
