Went out to the Stock Show this past weekend, snapped some pics. It was fun...we headed over to Sundance Square after that. Thought I'd share some of my Stock Show pics with you all.

Apparently I failed on the source code.....so it's links instead. hmmm. I tried two different ways but neither worked.

Great pics!
We went last Tuesday and it was clear but cold. The Will Rogers tower looked spectacular, which I tried to capture but my little Nikon Coolpix wasn't up to the challenge. Here it is anyway:

Brandi,

Photo of the little girls getting their boots shined is an award winner. You need to submit to some of the photo contests for like Parade Magazine or Kodak etc...

Trouble posting pictures. I used FLICKR for years. Starting last February they made it even more difficult to post pictures from there to other places like this Forum. The problem is really this. They don't allow it. Because of that, they make it very difficult to do. (I would short YAHOO stock. Really they are out of here.) I started using PHOTOBUCKET which is real easy to grab links from. I never could figure out how to get my photos out of FlICKR (last Spring) and then UncaMikey told us how. I am just going to paste his response. There is really nothing intuitive about these directions. Good luck.

Brian

Try this. Go to "Share This" then "Grab the HTML" and select whatever size you want. Inside that block of HTML code you will see something like this:

img src="http://farm5.static....XXXXXXXXXX.jpg"

Highlight and copy the URL between the quotation marks -- that's the 'permanent' location URL for your photo. Come over to FW Forum and go to the "Insert Image" icon -- when it asks for a URL, use the URL you just copied from the Flickr "Grab the HTML" code.

Shot last night around 6pm. The atmosphere was quite clear.

Brian,
Did you take these from the new parking garage on the west side?

Sure did, Mike. Got the $8. parking ticket to prove it! Was worth the $8. for the photo platform. Very nice garage alright. I am OK with it completely. (I think it is usually $5.)

there is about an 8' wall you have to climb. I got on the edge with my tripod and big lenses. Was surprised security did not come ask me to leave. Was afraid they would think I was a sniper.

I parked there a few weeks ago for the first time for the gun show. As always nice photos.

Probably one of the most beautiful shots of the city I've ever seen.

Thank you very much Doohickie! Film at 11...
(really, see the video I posted in Daily Digital. Really fun.)

I took the clip with my camera. It works great, but the zoom in and out is just manually turning my lens and looks pretty crude...

Ditto on Doohickie's post. Great pictures, Brian! They should be post cards or utilized on some Fort Worth-related website touting the city. I especially like the lighting - from the "fairground in the foreground :)" building on what appears to be layers of urban-ness all the way to the skyscrapers on the horizon. Really nice...

I posted a few pics of Saturday night from the Arts parking garage. What the heck, here is another while the Sun was still up.
