Austin, I read the Austin Monitor Article last week, and I should have posted it. However, Preservation Texas sent me an e-mail yesterday with a lot of commentary with the items in the bill. They now have that online, so I will post a link to it below:

I'm going to speak in generalities in my following statement because I don't want to jeopardize any negotiations. If this bill were actually law right now, the parties that are involved in saving some of Fort Worth's historic houses would have not been able to save any of them because they would have run out of time.

I have heard from a pretty good source that this bill does not have much chance of passing. I hope that it does not pass. Historic Preservation should be under city control.
