The Depot Apartments are a new apartment development on the east side of downtown Fort Worth. 199 units are within the development. The apartments sit on a site of the St. Louis Southwestern Railway of Texas Freight Depot, better known as the Cotton Belt Railroad. They are sandwiched in between the Hillside Neighborhood and Spur 280. The Freight Depot was constructed in 1911 with a small, two story office building and a long, narrow, one story warehouse. Both parts of the building were brick. The warehouse portion of the building was demolished to construct new apartments and they have risen on the spot of the warehouse itself. The depot building itself has been restored and houses the complex's office and clubhouse functions.
