UNTHSC Parking Garage

3400 Camp Bowie Blvd. - 2001-02

This parking garage serves the University of North Texas Health Science Center and as overflow for the Cultural District.  The parking decks opened in 2001 with entrances off of Clifton Street.  Several well known businesses were purchased along Camp Bowie and were demolished in 2002 to make way for the construction of the main entrance into the garage and the large elevator and stair tower.  The design of the garage is more Post-modern in character with the use of brick and concrete with vertical openings on the lower levels and round openings on the third level.  The garage is a break in character from the remainder of the UNTHSC Campus, which is constructed out of pre-cast concrete.
